Memories of the Gore Administration

T : lead art for a New York Magazine story chronicling  a fictional decade where the 2000 election had gone the other way, and Al Gore became president. America: This is your parallel life. In the first chapter, written by Kurt Andersen, Gore moves in, and United Flight 93 strikes the White House. Al Qaeda doesn’t care who’s president.

    Sidenote: I agree - we would most definitely have not gone into Iraq; we would have finished the job hunting down bin Laden; and the financial crisis would have been MUCH smaller without all the money wasted fighting an invasion (Iraq) and a war (Afghanistan), and the collateral bilking of the US Treasury by Cheney's military contractor buddies.
