The Year That Never Was

T ::  a collection of rejected New Yorker cover ideas.

the first one was for Summer / Fiction (actually went to final on it)

this one was for Fall / of the news-paper industry.

here is one about Winter / Valentine's day / over-heated apartments / relationships

this was predicting a tough year by depicting a preemptively spent New-Year's Baby.
was an alright year after all, it turns out.

A.A., The Cult that Cures :: Harper's Cover

T :: a cover feature for an essay by Clancy W. Martin, looking at the religious aspects of Alcoholics Anonymous, the Twelve Steps Program and why alcohol is the devil (or at least, a different kind of cure).

This blow up on the cover flap was a nice accident.

Happy Holidays, and drink safely.

Hard Apple :: in development

This is very much still in development, but here goes: we've been working on concept art for Hard Apple-- an animated series based on the cult crime novels of Jerome Charyn. At it's center is Isaac Sidel, a brainy Manhattan detective, and a gritty mix of characters bringing to life the five boroughs of New York City and its many dissonant sub-cultures. It's about family and tribal allegiances and how the bonds that tie can, in an instant, turn into people trying to slit each other’s throats. It is a universe riddled with risk and betrayal as everyone desperately tries to master the art of simply staying alive.
