The Dirties :: the full comics

The Dirties is a short comics we've collaborated on a while back. We thought we're doing a story about twins but it ended up being about something else entirely. We wrote the story by sending tiny thumbnails back and forth and eventually Asaf penciled the whole thing and Tomer inked and colored.

this story was originally published in Meathaus SOS, an anthology packed with our favorite artists.

  1. Good ending. I loved the childish simplicity of the story.

My favorite thing though, is the name "Iris." I'd probably use the name Iris in a story of mine.

    Good story.

I'm so glad you put this up. Easily one of the best of '08. The animation in particular is amazing. Even the way he stands up from the sofa is extraordinary. Great job!

I love how "dirty" or violent things / people are colored in red hues and more peaceful things are colored in Greene hues. The use of complementary colors as a story telling tool really adds to an already charming and beautifully illustrated story. Great work.

  9. Absolutely great!!! You guys have such an amazing colour sense. Sets the mood so well. How do you choose your colours? Is it influenced by the environment or what, because they hues and tones are so dreamlike. I love the toxic colours here though!

    Great work!
