asaf :: we are currently working on a new comics project to appear in the next Meathaust installment. the story is loosely based on childhood memories. the time and place are different of course. the page presented here was only a test-drive for a new technique we are trying where tomer is inking and coloring over my pencils.

tomer :: this novel was chosen by Entertainment Weekly as the best book of the year (06). here's the publisher's description: A father and his son walk alone through burned America. Nothing moves in the ravaged landscape save the ash on the wind. It is cold enough to crack stones, and when the snow falls it is gray. They sky is dark. Their destination is the coast, although they don’t know what, if anything, awaits them there. They have nothing; just a pistol to defend themselves against the lawless bands that stalk the road, the clothes they are wearting, a cart of scavenged food—and each other.

by placing the boy over his father's shoulders a third creature comes to life-- a two headed traveler alertly looking at both directions at once while keeping it's two parts mutually aware of the other's being. the figure extands from the top of the image to it's bottom, literally crossing the landscape.
